I don’t have a photo of my FIL in uniform, he is a retired army, but what I have here is my son, of course, wearing his GI Joe costume last week for Trick or Treat. He said he want to be in an Air Force when he grow up.

and here’s my father in law when they came here last May for a visit. He was in the army when he met his wife.

Today’s theme is so timely with what happen at Fort Hood ,Texas. My heart and prayers goes to the family of the victims. It is so sad because when I think about it, they didn’t die in a war in a foreign country fighting with the enemy, but instead it was one of them who killed them in their home country.

He’s so adorable! I remember my younger son was so crazy over the military uniform as a child but he’s didn’t join the army when he grow up.
My heart goes out to the people that’s effected what happen at Fort Hood. There was a major coverage in the newspapers and news on tv here in Singapore.

Great pictures! Haha. I love the G.I costume pick for Halloween! Boys and their military outfit – you can never separate them.
I just read about it. It’s beyond sad what had happened. It’s just so upsetting to read about the parents’ and families’ accounts as well and their feelings of betrayal.
Great post for the theme! Have a great week ahead!

Oh my gosh….this truly touches my heart. It would be wonderful that the little one would never have to think of serving during the times of war….
One of MY favorite Veterans is on my post this week. Come see him if you have some time.

Thank you for visiting my blog and also for your kind words about my father. I am going to write a little more about my father in a coming post, so please come back and take a peek whenever you have the time.
I am sorry that I haven’t kept up with the news. Did something terrible happen at Ft. Hunt, in Texas? I’ll have to look into this. I live in Sweden, and am so busy that I hardly get a chance to read a newspaper or look at the news on tv anymore.
Your photos of your son are cute. Small boys grow up so quickly. I put my children in my blog all the time, even though it’s not really a family blog!
Best wishes
Anna

Little boys love wearing a military uniform. My son had one when he was a little kid and would wear it very often.
